The expansion aims to bridge the treatment gap and make mental health services more readily available in residential areas. Dr. Al-Dubaib emphasized the importance of mental health on both individual and societal levels.

This move comes alongside the successful completion of an annual training program for family doctors in mental health. This program is a key part of the ministry’s plan to integrate mental health services into primary care. Also raise awareness among citizens and residents about the comprehensive healthcare services available to them.

Dr. Al-Dubaib highlighted that this initiative aligns with the highest international standards for primary care, which serves as the initial point of contact for patients. The new clinics and ongoing training programs are part of the ministry’s broader Mental Health Program, a crucial component of their primary healthcare efforts.
