This decision was formalized during the weekly cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of His Highness Prime Minister Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah at Bayan Palace.
By Decree No. 29/2024, all ministries, government agencies, and public institutions will be closed on Thursday. This designated day of rest aims to facilitate citizen participation in the National Assembly elections.
The decree acknowledges the potential need for operational continuity within specific public authorities with specialized functions. These entities are authorized to establish their holiday schedules, in consultation with relevant departments. It is to ensure the continued provision of essential services, reported KUNA.
