The center said that the Dharaan season follows the Hamim season, which ends today. This overlap is causing a period of climate change and unstable weather conditions.

One of the distinctive features of the Dharaan season is the “Sarayat,” a passing phenomenon that occurs when the angle of the sun directly heats the soil but not the air. This creates strong air currents as cold air is replaced by hot air, leading to dust storms.

During the Dharaan season, wind speeds and directions are expected to change frequently. The season is divided into two 13-day periods, marking the end of the spring season in Kuwait, reported KUNA.
