Good News for Expat Nurses: Kuwait Boosts Nurse Allowances

The revised program streamlines the allowance structure by eliminating category “C.” Nurses previously categorized as “C” will now receive benefits under category “B.” Additionally, certain nurses currently in category “B” will be reclassified to category “A.” These adjustments translate to a monthly allowance increase ranging from 30 to 50 Kuwaiti dinars (approximately $98 to $163 USD) based on the specific category and job title.

The Ministry of Health is actively working to integrate these changes into their existing financial and administrative systems. This expeditious implementation will ensure the prompt disbursement of the increased allowances to all eligible nurses, encompassing both Kuwaiti nationals and expatriate workers.
