Kuwait City: France continues to be a destination of choice for Kuwaiti travelers, according to the French Ambassador to Kuwait, Claire Le Flécher. Ambassador Le Flécher emphasized the positive impact of the European Commission’s September 2023 decision to implement the “cascade” visa program. This program streamlines travel for Kuwaiti citizens by allowing them to obtain a five-year Schengen visa valid for most European countries with a single application. However, she cautioned that anticipated significant global increases in visa applications for France. This is mainly because the country hosting the 2024 Olympic Games during peak tourist season are likely to result in longer processing times.

To ensure a smooth visa application process, the French Embassy strongly encourages applicants to submit their applications well in advance of their travel dates.
