The shocking revelation came to light after the ministry implemented a new fingerprint attendance system. The system, integrated with the Civil Service Bureau, identified numerous cases of absentee employees continuing to get paid.

Minister of Education, Dr. Adel Al-Adwani, has taken a firm stance on the issue. An urgent investigation committee has been formed to identify those involved and take legal action. The Ministry will pursue legal charges against anyone found to have received salaries while being absent from the country, considering it a misuse of public funds.

Dr. Al-Adwani has emphasized strict accountability within the ministry. All employee files across departments are being scrutinized, and compliance with designated work hours is being rigorously monitored through the fingerprint system.

The Ministry remains committed to transparent governance and fiscal responsibility. They are taking steps to rectify these shortcomings and ensure the integrity of their operations, reported Al Jarida.
