Kuwait: Kuwait’s Information and Culture Minister, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, recently reaffirmed his nation’s commitment to developing the tourism sector as a pillar of sustainable economic growth.

During his address at the 50th meeting of the UNWTO (United Nations World Tourism Organization) Regional Committee for the Middle East held in Muscat, Oman, Minister Al-Mutairi positioned tourism as a strategic investment opportunity. He emphasized its inclusion within Kuwait’s Vision 2035, a national plan aiming to transform the country into a prominent financial and commercial center. This vision prioritizes attracting investment and fostering economic growth while ensuring environmental sustainability.

Minister Al-Mutairi underscored Kuwait’s dedication to enhancing its business environment and competitiveness. These efforts aim to bolster the regional economy and achieve economic diversification, a key objective for the nation.

Beyond economic benefits, the Minister highlighted tourism’s significance in fostering cultural exchange . Also promoting investment in heritage preservation through diverse tourism projects. He concluded by expressing his gratitude to the Sultanate of Oman for hosting the meeting and to the UNWTO for its leadership in driving tourism development initiatives across the Middle East, reported KUNA.
