This positive trend extended to aircraft movement, which witnessed a 17% increase compared to February 2023. KWI facilitated 10,710 flight operations during the month, reflecting a growing demand for air travel to and from Kuwait.

The DGCA report also highlighted a substantial 25% growth in air cargo traffic compared to the same period last year.

The specific breakdown of passenger movement revealed a near-even distribution between arriving and departing passengers, with 670,416 passengers arriving and 628,294 departing.

This robust growth in passenger and cargo traffic signifies a promising development for Kuwait’s aviation sector. It potentially indicates a rise in tourism and increased economic activity within the region, Al Jarida reported.
