Kuwait City, Kuwait: The Public Authority for Minors Affairs held its 15th annual “Girgian of our Minors” event on Thursday. The event bringing together around 700 children, including those without guardians, for an evening of fun and cultural celebration.

The event featured lively competitions, delicious treats, and traditional Kuwaiti games. This fostering a sense of community and heritage among the young attendees.

Hamad Al-Barjas, Acting Director General of the Authority, emphasized their dedication to hosting such events. “We are accountable to meticulously organize these celebrations, catering to the diverse needs of our children,” he said. Al-Barjas highlighted the importance of connecting younger generations with their cultural roots. “These events aim to cultivate a strong sense of national pride and identity,” he added.

Tamader Al-Omar, head of the social and educational department, addressed the emotional needs of children who have lost their fathers. “We stand by them and celebrate with them on every occasion,” she said. “While we understand the irreplaceable role of a father, we strive to meet their requests and fulfill their needs.”
