Kuwait Extends Amnesty for Residency Violators

Following the instructions of Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Talal Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Kuwaiti government extended the amnesty period for residency violators until June 30th, 2024. This extension considers the upcoming Eid al-Adha holiday and the high number of people seeking to rectify their residency or depart Kuwait.
Previously set to expire on June 17th, the amnesty program allows expats residing in Kuwait illegally to:
- Legalize their residency status
- Leave the country without facing fines or being blacklisted
This is a great opportunity for those who might have overstayed their visas or fallen out of compliance with Kuwaiti residency regulations.
Important Note: If you are a resident of Kuwait with residency issues, contact the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior for further details and to initiate the rectification process before the June 30th deadline, reported Arab Times.
