This initiative, titled “Their Safety is More Important,” aims to safeguard workers from the harsh summer heat that can cause heat stress and other health risks.

“Surprise visits will be conducted by inspection teams over the next three months to ensure compliance,” stated Marzouq Al-Otaibi, Acting Director General of PAM. Violations will be penalized, underlining the government’s commitment to worker safety.

Al-Otaibi clarified that the ban is not meant to reduce work hours but rather to reschedule them. Also allows workers to avoid the most intense heat while ensuring project continuity. He highlighted the positive feedback received from companies regarding the ban’s implementation in previous years.

This policy aligns with Kuwait’s adherence to international labor standards and reflects their focus on worker well-being. Al-Otaibi emphasized the employers’ responsibility to prioritize their workers’ health and safety by following labor regulations.

The public can report violations of the noon work ban by calling 24936192. The authorities will investigate complaints and take appropriate action.
