Kuwait Announces Five-Day Eid Al-Fitr Holiday

Kuwait City, Kuwait: The Kuwaiti government has declared a five-day holiday for public sector employees in observance of Eid Al-Fitr, the festival marking the end of Ramadan.

The holiday will begin on Tuesday, April 9th, and conclude on Sunday, April 14th. This includes three official holidays (Tuesday-Thursday) coinciding with the weekend (Friday-Saturday) for a total of five consecutive days off.

Government ministries, departments, and institutions will be closed during this period. Agencies with special work requirements will determine their individual holiday schedules based on public interest considerations.

Eid Al-Fitr is a joyous occasion for Muslims worldwide, celebrating the completion of Ramadan. The holiday is typically marked with family gatherings, special meals, prayers, and gift-giving.
