This initiative comes after the EPA discovered farms selling unpasteurized dairy products, which can expose consumers to Brucellosis, a bacterial infection. The disease can cause flu-like symptoms, joint pain, and fatigue.

To further protect public health, the two government bodies are planning a public awareness campaign to educate residents on how to identify and report farms selling unpasteurized dairy products. This campaign will empower residents to play a role in ensuring food safety, reported Arab Times.
