The 40,000 square meter city will be built under a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) system and is expected to be finished within the next year and a half. It will feature high-quality housing with amenities like kitchens, bathrooms, laundry facilities, and storage rooms.

“This project is crucial for tackling housing challenges and eliminating single resident housing in neighborhoods,” said Engineer Saud Al-Dabbous, Director General of the Kuwait Municipality.

The city goes beyond just housing and will include commercial areas with restaurants, cafes, and retail stores. Additionally, there will be a police station, government offices, and recreational facilities like multi-storey halls and open spaces. Public transportation will be facilitated through internal roads, parking lots, and bus stations.

The initiative highlights Kuwait’s efforts to improve the lives of low-income workers by providing quality, integrated housing solutions, reported Arab Times.
