Two Options for Residency Violators in Kuwait: Regularization or Departure
KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait: In a move to address residency law violations, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior (MoI) has initiated a streamlined program offering two options for individuals facing residency irregularities.

The program operates in two distinct phases:
- Regularization of Residency Status (Morning Period): During regular working hours and across all governorates, the Department of Residence Affairs will be available to assist residents seeking to rectify their legal status within Kuwait. This simplified process aims to facilitate residency compliance for those already in the country.
- Departure from Kuwait(Evening Period): To encourage a smooth departure process, the MoI has designated an evening window (3 pm to 8 pm) for residency violators to register their exit from the country. This option is particularly useful for individuals possessing new passports or travel documents. Registration will be conducted at the Residence Affairs Departments of Mubarak Al-Kabeer and Farwaniya Governorates.
The MoI, through a press release, reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the rule of law. The program demonstrates a balanced approach, ensuring compliance with residency regulations while offering practical support to residents navigating administrative procedures.
