This initiative, implemented months ago, reflects a wider effort to collect outstanding debts owed to the government. Previously, Kuwaiti authorities restricted travel for residents with unpaid electricity bills, traffic violations, and other dues. Now, the Ministry of Interior is expanding its reach to encompass vehicle-related transactions.

To avoid delays, residents are encouraged to settle any outstanding electricity bills through the Ministry of Interior’s website or the Sahl application. This streamlined approach aims to improve efficiency and minimize disruptions for those seeking to complete vehicle registration processes, reported Al-Seyassah.
