MEW prioritizes ensuring uninterrupted service during emergencies. Their Technical Services and Main Workshops Sector is prepared for any disruptions, operating with dedicated 24/7 emergency response teams. Equipped with over 40 specialized vehicles, these teams can rapidly deploy transformers and other essential equipment to minimize service interruptions in case of power outages or water network issues. This proactive approach ensures a swift response to emergencies, mitigating any inconvenience to the public.
MEW Embraces Modernization
A comprehensive plan is underway to upgrade ministry buildings for a 20% reduction in energy consumption. The ministry is establishing a photovoltaic panels factory to achieve self-sufficiency in renewable energy. Three projects are planned to install solar panels on buildings with a total capacity of 26 megawatts.
A six-year plan is in place to modernize existing ministry buildings, improve work environments, and save energy. The key aspect of the plan involves renovating existing ministry buildings. This will not only improve the work environment for employees but also significantly reduce energy consumption by 20%.
