Governor Al-Sabah made these remarks during a recent inspection tour alongside Sheikha Amthal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Head of the Voluntary Work Center. Their visit aimed to identify challenges faced by the market and find solutions that adhere to regulations.

The Governor highlighted Souq Mubarakiya’s unique blend of architectural, touristic, commercial, and entertainment aspects. He described it as a magnet for Kuwaitis, residents, and tourists from the Gulf Cooperation Council and beyond.

The Capital Governorate pledged its unwavering support in preserving the market’s traditional character. Collaboration with government bodies and private entities will address current issues, encompassing cleanliness, infrastructure development, and aesthetic improvements that respect the heritage value.

Governor Al-Sabah expressed his commitment to working with relevant authorities to tackle existing problems. The formation of a joint committee is expected to spearhead these efforts, reported Arab Times.
