A recent meeting, chaired by Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Public Education Hessa Al-Mutawa, brought together educational leaders to discuss the implementation plan. The initiative leverages existing Office 365 accounts for both students and staff, alongside the Teams program for facilitating virtual classrooms and distance learning.

The meeting emphasized comprehensive training for teachers, mentors, principals, and target groups to ensure a smooth transition. Attendees actively participated by sharing ideas and observations, with the finalized plan submitted to Acting Undersecretary Anwar Al-Hamdan for approval.

This push for e-learning comes despite high attendance rates observed in schools today, even amidst rainy conditions. The strong commitment from both students and teachers is commendable. However, the meeting acknowledged the need for more flexible and efficient plans to activate distance learning during emergencies or inclement weather, as advocated by parents and educators alike.

The move towards e-learning signifies the MOE’s proactive approach to strengthening Kuwait’s educational landscape and ensuring continued learning opportunities for all.
