Indian Embassy Opens Helpline After Fire in Mangaf Labor Camp

Kuwait City, Kuwait: Kuwait’s Mangaf area witnessed a horrific fire at a labor camp, with a majority of the casualties being Indian workers. In response to this tragedy, the Indian Embassy in Kuwait has activated an emergency helpline (+965-65505246) to assist those affected.

The Embassy urges anyone seeking updates or requiring assistance related to the incident to contact this dedicated number.

Earlier, the Indian Ambassador to Kuwait, Dr. Adarsh Swaika, visited the fire site and pledged full support to those impacted. He also visited the injured workers receiving treatment at local hospitals. The Ministry of Health has confirmed 48 fatalities and dozens of injuries, with some in critical condition.

Meanwhile, India’s External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar, expressed his deep condolences to the families of the deceased and wished for a speedy recovery for the injured. He confirmed that the Indian Embassy is working tirelessly to provide all possible assistance during this difficult time.
