Eid al-Fitr Prayers Announced in 53 Kuwaiti Locations

Kuwait: Kuwait’s Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs has announced preparations for Eid al-Fitr prayers. To accommodate worshippers across all governorates, the Ministry has identified 53 designated prayer halls in addition to mosques where Friday prayers are normally held.

The Eid prayer will be held at precisely 5:43 am on the designated day. This announcement comes alongside a Ministry directive instructing imams and preachers to ensure all mosques are open to the public for prayers.

The Ministry has gone beyond traditional mosque spaces to ensure ample capacity for Eid prayers. Public chapels will be established in various locations, including arenas, youth centers, and sports stadiums. This initiative aims to provide a comfortable and accessible prayer experience for a larger number of worshippers celebrating Eid al-Fitr.

The Ministry has further detailed the distribution of these designated prayer halls across Kuwait’s governorates. Here’s a breakdown by location:

  • Capital Governorate: 10 prayer halls
  • Hawalli Governorate: 7 prayer halls
  • Al-Farwaniyah Governorate: 9 prayer halls
  • Al-Jahra Governorate: 7 prayer halls
  • Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate: 5 prayer halls
  • Al-Ahmadi Governorate: 15 prayer halls

With these comprehensive preparations, the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs aims to facilitate a joyous and widely accessible Eid al-Fitr prayer experience for the people of Kuwait, reported Al Rai daily.
