The program directly addresses concerns raised by Walid Al-Jassem, editor-in-chief of Al-Rai, regarding the upcoming deadline for mandatory biometric fingerprint registration. The Ministry of Interior acknowledges that some citizens may face challenges visiting designated fingerprint centers due to health or mobility limitations.

By implementing home fingerprint scanning, the Ministry aims to ensure an inclusive and efficient registration process for all Kuwaiti citizens. The Ministry will provide the necessary biometric devices for in-home data capture, ensuring those with special circumstances can complete the registration by the early June deadline.

This policy exemplifies the Ministry’s commitment to streamlining procedures and prioritizing the needs of all citizens.
