Kuwaiti Amir Honored with Al-Hussein Necklace by Jordanian King Abdullah II
AMMAN: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Jordanian King Abdullah II held productive discussions on Tuesday during an official session of talks at Basman Palace. The meeting underscored the deep-rooted bilateral ties between Kuwait and Jordan. Also focusing on avenues to enhance cooperation for the mutual benefit of both nations. His Highness the Amir conveyed warm congratulations to King Abdullah II on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of his coronation. His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah embarked on state visit to Jordan accompanied by a distinguished delegation. Included Minister of Finance Anwar Ali Al-Mudhaf, Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment, Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya, Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya, and senior officials from the Amiri Diwan. During the visit, His Highness the Amir was warmly received by King Abdullah II and Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah.
In a notable recognition of Kuwait’s esteemed leadership, His Highness the Amir was honored to receive the Al-Hussein Necklace from Jordanian King Abdullah II. The Al-Hussein Necklace is the highest civilian medal bestowed in the Kingdom of Jordan. It symbolizing the deep bond and appreciation between the two nations.
Following the ceremony, King Abdullah II hosted a banquet in honor of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. And his accompanying delegation commemorating the occasion of the state visit. The visit further strengthens the longstanding ties between Kuwait and Jordan, reinforcing the commitment to mutual prosperity and regional stability.
Additionally, Kuwaiti and Jordanian parliamentary leaders, including Speaker of the House of Nobels Parliament, Faisal Al-Fayez. Also Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ahmad Al-Safadi, emphasized the significance of His Highness the Amir’s visit.
