Kuwait: Kuwait’s Grand State Mosque is gearing up for a momentous Ramadan in 2024. Director Ali Shaddad Al-Mutairi has confirmed their preparedness to welcome a surge of worshippers, exceeding 100,000 on the 27th night of Ramadan.

The mosque will be a hive of activity throughout the holy month. Free Iftar meals will nourish worshippers at sunset, while Suhoor meals will fuel them for pre-dawn prayers. In collaboration with Zain and Boubyan Bank, the mosque will offer over 45,000 Iftar meals and 15,000 Suhoor meals to worshippers throughout the holy month. The Grand Mosque boasts a prestigious lineup of reciters to lead prayers throughout Ramadan. This year’s roster includes well-known figures like Mishary Al-Afasy and Ahmed Al-Nafis, promising a truly inspiring atmosphere for night prayers.
Marking a joyful return to pre-pandemic traditions, Tarawih prayers will be held for the entire month of Ramadan for the second year. Furthermore, the Grand Mosque will host a series of lectures by diverse speakers during the last ten days of Ramadan. These talks aim to deepen visitors’ understanding of the holy month’s significance and provide valuable guidance for worshippers.
