Kuwaiti Model Housing Maintains Current Height Limits
Kuwait City, Kuwait: Minister of State for Municipal Affairs Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan has clarified there will be no changes to the height restrictions for private and model housing developments. In a letter to Municipal Council Chairman Abdullah Al-Mahri, Dr. Al-Mashaan emphasized that the current 18-meter height limit, including the staircase, will remain in effect.

This announcement comes in response to rumors circulating on social media regarding a potential reduction in building heights for private and model housing areas to 15 meters. Dr. Al-Mashaan firmly denied these claims, ensuring citizens’ interests and a fair application of regulations.
The news comes alongside the ongoing Municipal Council by-elections for the sixth (Khaitan) and ninth (Ahmadi) constituencies, scheduled for May 18th, 2024, reported Arab Times.
